OVERVIEW OF THE CORPORATE IDENTITY SYSTEM The Corporate Identity System provides a systematic approach for implement ting and maintaining the graphic standards of Grandtek Asia Corporation. This manual demonstrates typical applications of the identity system. The focus is on those items with high consumer exposure, such as signature configurations, standard color, corporate typeface, letterhead, envelope, business card, mailing label, and staff identification. The graphic elements provided in this manual are for reference only and should never be used for reproduction. We producing the signatures, always use the official reproduction materials – Adobe Illustrator .ai file or Adobe Acrobat pdf file provided in the CD-R.

Note: This manual is an Adobe Acrobat 7.0 PDF file for viewing on Macintosh or Windows platforms.

The complete file or its individual pages can also be printed on A-4 paper, preferably using a color printer.

GRAPHIC STANDARDS

Basic Identity Components The GRANDTEK identity System provides a systematic approach for implementing and maintaining the graphic standard of the GRANDTEK ASIA CORP. The GRANDTEK signature/identifier appears to the left. it is the primary identity element of the GRANDTEK visual identity system and must appear on all official GRANDTEK communications.

It may not be modified in any way and must be reproduced exactly as it appear. Any deviation from this may weaken the identity.

When producing the GRANDTEK signature, always use the official reproduction materials.

The GRANDTEK signature is a uniquely designed graphic representing the GRANDTEK ASIA CORP.

Signature Configurations The primary identification device for GRANDTEK is the identifier. It is composed of the graphic logotype. To provide maximum flexibility of application, ten different signature configurations have been developed.

All of these signature configurations are used for all print items such as stationery, brochure and signage. The signature may appear in graphic logotype, bilingual form, English only, or Chinese only.

Endorsement Signature Endorsement signature comprised the initial of GRANTEK graphic type and descriptor.

The descriptor identifies the relationship with Grandtek Asia Corp. Suitability for enforcement usage and application must be determined by the top management of Grandtek Asia Corp.

Grandtek Color Color has a strong communication value of its own. It strengthens the Grandtek Asia Corp. identity and reinforces its image to the company, customer and the public.

Typography is the arrangement of typeface to ensure maximum legibility, comprehension and appropriate style. Its consistent application plays an important role in the Grandtek Asia Corp. identity system.

Furtiger LT Standard and Ming Family typefaces have been chosen because of their legibility, contemporary look and availability.

Fruitiger LT Standard typeface is suggested for all English applications: headline and body copy.

It is available in many sizes and weights. Three of the styles may be used: Frutiger Light, Frutiger Roman and Frutiger Bold.

For Chinese application the typeface Ming Family is used. It is also available in several sizes and weights.

Salutation, This letter demonstrates the format for all correspondence for GrandTek Asia Corp.

Frugiter is the recommended typeface for all correspondence. Name and title are in Bold. All type is set at 11 pt with 14 pt leading.

The top margin is set at 80mm from the top of the paper, left margin is 25 mm and the right margin is 45 mm. Follow this format for a consistent and professional look to all correspondence produced by the company.

If the font Frugiter is not available, you may substitute it with Arial.
