一、設立日期 民國35年9月1日

二、本行沿革 公元1945年第二次世界大戰結束後,政府為配合在台推行平均地權、耕者有其田等土地政策,由國庫撥充資本 ,並以日本勸業銀行自1922年以來在臺陸續設置之臺北、新竹、臺中、臺南、高雄等五支店為據點,依中華民 國法律,於民國35年9月1日成立「臺灣土地銀行」,為國內唯一辦理不動產兼農業信用之專業銀行。民國74年 5月依銀行法第52條取得法人資格;民國87年12月21日因精省條例施行改隸國營;配合公營事業民營化政策, 於民國92年7月1日改制為「臺灣土地銀行股份有限公司」,並於民國93年5月21日改制為公開發行股票公司。 配合政府金融政策,於97年1月1日與臺灣銀行、中國輸出入銀行共同以股份轉換方式合組「臺灣金融控股股份 有限公司」,同時轉換為旗下銀行子公司。

一、組織系統 本行為百分之百公股之公營銀行組織,組織系統包括董事會、監察人、總行、分行及辦事處。為強化銀行監理 制度,自民國87年起建立總稽核制,將稽核室改隸董事會,以獨立超然之精神綜理稽核業務。本行組織編制為 總行部室計22個單位,國內分支機構有138個分行(不含國際金融業務分行),國外分支機構有洛杉磯分行、 新加坡分行、香港分行、上海及越南胡志明市辦事處5行處;並以任務編組方式成立6個區域中心。
