Oscar Mairena, DrPH, MPP is Associate Director for Community Engagement & Advocacy at Gilead Sciences. A public health leader committed to health equity and justice, he focuses on advancing HIV prevention among queer people, communities of color, and people who use drugs. His work bridges scientific innovation with community impact, drawing on experience across government, nonprofit, and industry sectors. Dr. Mairena holds a Doctor of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelors from UC Berkeley.

Jesse Sanders, M.D., received his B.A. in Biology from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts in 1978. He attended medical school at Stanford Medical School, Palo Alto, California, where he earned his medical degree in 1982. He completed his residency in 1985 in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Nevada-Reno. Dr. Sanders has been with NEVHC since March 1987, and twice served as corporate medical director. Dr. Sanders became medical director of the HIV Division at NEVHC in 1991 after completing specialized HIV training at the AIDS Education and Training Center of Southern California.

Natalie Sanchez, MPH, is a passionate HIV advocate with over 20 years of experience advancing health equity. She started her career managing the SPA 2 HIV Consortium and has since led impactful initiatives at AltaMed, including the Sin Vergüenza telenovela and ¡Listo!/Ready PrEP campaign, which engage Latino communities. As Director of the UCLA Family AIDS Network (LAFAN), she focuses on preventing motherto-child HIV transmission and supporting women, children, and youth.
Natalie also created the "Confessions" podcast for women living with HIV and hosted the 10th National Latinx Conference on HIV in 2025.

BAMBY SALCEDO CEO, TransLatin@ Coalition
Bamby Salcedo is a nationally and internationally recognized transgender Latina activist and President & CEO of the TransLatin@ Coalition. A powerful advocate for immigrant and trans rights, she has led efforts addressing healthcare, incarceration, and HIV prevention. Bamby founded the Center for Violence Prevention and Transgender Wellness in Los Angeles and has spoken at major HIV and social justice conferences, including the National HIV Prevention Conference and the United States Conference on AIDS. She has also advised the White House and testified before Congress, tirelessly working to uplift marginalized voices and champion human rights through policy and community action.
Ardis Moe, M.D., has cared for HIV+ patients since her medical school days in 1987 and has witnessed the revolution in HIV treatment and HIV prevention. She has been with NEVHC for 17 years and has interests in HIV, long term complications of HIV and HIV treatment, PREP, STD management and treatment, Hepatitis C treatment, gender health and transgender care, and in anal cancer early detection and anal cancer prevention in at-risk populations. She has clinics both at UCLA and at Van Nuys Adult where she sees HIV and HIV at risk and Hepatitis C patients.
