BACON TOWNSHIP of Vernon County

Notice of Invitation to Bid

Bids will be received by Bacon Township until October 8, 2025 for the hauling of rock/aggregate material. The project involves the hauling of various grades of rock for township road maintenance. The contractor will be responsible for loading, hauling, and delivering the material to designated locations within the township. Bids must include rates per ton and/or rates per mile. Bidders must possess all necessary equipment, including dump trucks to perform the work in a timely and professional manner. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable state and local regulations. A certiﬁcate of insurance and proof of workers’ compensation coverage will be required from the winning bidder.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Bacon Township of Vernon County will accept bids for roadside ditch cleaning in the township from September 17 to October 2, 2025. Bacon Township is located at the north-eastern corner of Vernon County.

Bids on an hourly rate are being sought from qualiﬁed and experienced contractors to provide all necessary labor, equipment (including an Excavator and/or Tracked Skid Steer). Bids to include: Cleaning and re-shaping of roadside ditches at various locations throughout the township. Excavation and removal of built up sediment, brush, and other debris from ditches. Shaping of ditches to improve water ﬂow and drainage. Leveling of excavated materials (spoil) along the roadside or hauling it away. Restoration of all disturbed areas upon project completion. Bidders must possess a valid contractor’s license, liability insurance, and worker’s compensation proof of insurance and licensing must be included in the bid. Bacon Township reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive any information in the bidding process, and to award the contract in the best interest of Bacon Township.
