Network Auto Magherafelt will be supporting The Retro Car Run as it takes to The Sperrins on Sunday 26th May 2019. The brainchild of Jonny Donnelly – a member of our Magherafelt Team - the event started only last year and following that outing’s overwhelming success it returns for 2019 to raise even more money for local charities.

We’re delighted to support Jonny who has found a fantastic way to not only bring local car lovers together, but to channel this passion into something that can do so much good with every penny raised being donated to charity.

We’ll be there on the day to lend a helping hand, and to enjoy some of the finest metal on our roads if last year is anything to go by. As diesel sales continue to drop, hybrid sales are on the rise as a more attractive and practical option for many than a fully electric vehicle. With the Toyota Prius in production for over 20 years, there’s no question that these cars are now very much an aftermarket concern and no longer just in the world of the main dealer.

As the number of hybrid vehicles on the road continue to swell, so too does our range of parts to suit. From the traditional to the specialist we have the answers to keep this new generation of vehicles on the road, whether you’re working on their often ultra-efficient petrol engines or changing the most conventional of items from brakes to suspension parts.

Lubricants and Additives

Some applications require oils specifically designed for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). Motul’s SAE 0w-16 oil with low friction and very low HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) viscosity has you covered on many hybrid applications.

Meanwhile Liqui Moly’s Hybrid Additive helps battle the issues that can come with the combustion engine being secondary – namely irregular short term use causing deposits, and fuel that simply remains in the tank for longer. The newly developed Hybrid Additive keeps petrol quality stable, protects against deposits in the injection system and removes existing deposits - solving both problems.

Our copper-free solutions do everything you need without introducing the issues that copper grease can bring to modern brakes and materials:

• Assists the smooth movement of braking components, and minimises noise

• Effectively withstands water and high temperatures

• Fully compatible with ABS brakes

• Prevents seizing or ‘rust-freezing’ of rims to hubs

Available in a range of sizes and applicators to best suit the job at hand.

We cover the range from the oldest to the most modern vehicles with everything from a synthetic Dot 3 to keep classics on the road up to Dot 5.1 for high performance applications with a minimum wet boiling point of 180°c, while the most common Dot 4 comes in a convenient 5 litre option for those with heavy use and a 500ml when you’d prefer fresh every time.

Brake Cleaners

Top of the list for absolute workshop must-haves is brake cleaner, and sometimes it’s even used to clean brakes. Whatever you use it for, we have a range to suit from small high-strength aerosols, to 5 litre cans to keep your own spray bottle topped-up:

• Eliminates brake squeal caused by contamination

• Powerfully removes oil, grease and brake dust quickly & safely

• Cleans and degreases drums, discs, linings, pads, cylinders & clutch assemblies

• Removes protective coating from replacement discs

Everything else …

When we think brakes it’s easy to think of pads, discs, calipers, and even shoes and drums, but that doesn’t cover everything. We do. Complete the whole job without fuss thanks to our extensive range of those less obvious braking parts in store. Rotten brake backing plates won’t only leave you with one less finger, they can be the end of a parking brake; ABS rings cracking and swelling can light up a dashboard disabling safety systems as they go; and those tiny, fiddly disc screws help everything go together so much more easily when they don’t require a hammer to seat the hex key securely.
