Maryhaven and Netcare are proud to partner together to host Smash the Stigma Pickleball Open a unique opportunity to bring our communities together in a fun, active, and inclusive way.
This event is a great way to engage your employees in a meaningful wellness activity while supporting a cause that matters—spreading awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, this event has something for everyone!
Pickleball is one of the easiest sports to learn, and we'll be offering a free clinic, at the event, to teach participants the basics, so no prior experience is necessary. For the more advanced players, we’ve got an Open Tournament where both professional and amateur players can compete for cash prizes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get active, connect with colleagues, and make a positive impact on our community, all while having a blast.

FREE BEGINNER’S CLINIC
Never picked up a paddle? No problem! Join us for a free clinic from 9 AM to 11 AM and learn the basics of the game from the pros
How It Works:
Sign up on-site when you arrive
You’ll be assigned a 15-minute slot on a court with 3 other beginners
Learn the fundamentals, how scoring works, and get a chance to hit a few balls
After the clinic, stick around to watch the action! Highly skilled players will compete in exhibition matches for exciting prizes
Event Details:
No equipment needed – we’ve got you covered!
Wear clean tennis shoes and comfortable athletic clothing.
All ages welcome (ages 8+ to participate in the clinic)
Enjoy a food truck and cash bar on-site

$50 per person/$100 per team (2 players)
Tournament Information
The Open division is ideal for highly skilled players looking for the toughest competition or anyone eager to test their abilities against top-level opponents. While newer players are welcome to join, they should be prepared for a challenging experience!
Round Robin games to 11, win by 2. Followed by a single elimination bracket.
The schedule may be modified prior to the start of the event if deemed necessary.
The number of teams advancing will depend on the total number of teams in the division
Each player receives a swag bag, t-shirt, and complimentary snacks and water during tournament play
Champions in the Open Division will receive the following cash prizes:
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100
Last day to register to play in the open tournament is Thursday, June 5. All players who sign up agree to our liability waiver, which is available for review on the event webpage
We recognize that there are times when life events require a change in reservations or commitments Please understand Maryhaven and Netcare are 501c 3 non-profit organizations that provide direct care services to more than 20,000 individuals each year. If you cannot attend after you have paid your fee, consider redirecting your entry fee as a donation towards behavioral healthcare
