Green Army, welcome to RAC Arena for today’s Round 12 Suncorp Super Netball clash against the Giants.
Against the Swifts, for the second home game in a row, you helped deliver the Club’s biggest ever Regular Season Home Crowd of all time again!
The Team and I love your continued support, passion and ferocity and we know today our Green Army will be right behind us.
Last week in Brisbane a spirited Firebirds produced their best performance of the season to get the better of us, so we will be looking for a big response this week.
Today we will be out to seek redemption and to bring the ferocious Fever netball we know we can deliver and that you all love seeing.
There are three games to go, the competition is fierce and anyone can beat anyone on their day – that is why this is the best netball league in the world.
This week, we welcome Julie Fitzgerald, Jo Harten, Jamie-Lee Price and the Giants to RAC Arena.
The Giants are coming off a tough battle on the Sunshine Coast against the Lightning and we expect them to come to RAC Arena ready for a massive game of netball.
The Giants possess a strong supershot combination with all three of their goalers in Harten, Sophie Dwyer and Matisse Letherbarrow having the ability from long range.
I am really looking forward to the intense battle in the midcourt between Kelsey Browne, Jess Anstiss and Price. All three players are very experienced, great decision makers and hard at the contest.
Down our end, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard continues to be a strong focal point and combined with the consistency and work rate of Alice Teague-Neeld our two vice captains continue to lead the way for our Club.
In defence, Sunday Aryang and Fran Williams are building an amazing connection and we will be looking to them to shut down the Giants attackers.
We are right at the business end of the season, now’s the time to stand up, make it count and we cannot wait for that first centre pass.
There are no easy games in SSN and today will be no different, so make sure you get right behind our team, make lots of noise and let’s attack another win at our Green Fortress.

Giant battle awaits Fever at RAC
West Coast Fever will be looking for redemption when they face the Giants on Sunday at RAC Arena after their eight-goal loss to the Queensland Firebirds.
After a strong start, the Firebirds were able to gain control of the contest during Power 5 of the first quarter to draw level with Fever.
From there, the Firebirds controlled the majority of the contest despite periods where Fever would lift to get themselves within touching distance of the lead.
For the Giants, they come off a five-goal loss to the Lightning on the Sunshine Coast and travel for the second time in two weeks to face Fever in front of a big crowd at RAC Arena.
Head-to-Head
This is the second meeting of the two sides for the season after Fever started their year in sensational style back in Round One.
While Fever currently sit third with an eight and three record, the Giants find themselves at the bottom of the table alongside the Swifts and Firebirds with three wins from 11 starts.
Alice Teague-Neeld has solidified her place as one of the best Wing Attacks in the league as she sits second behind Diamonds Captain Liz Watson from

Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard leads the league for goals with 630 and Nissan Net Points (1217) in a sign she continues to be one of the best and most consistent players in the competition. She will come up against Giant Matilda McDonell, who has been strong for the Giants under the ring with 20 Defensive Rebounds, which places her fourth across the league.
Fever’s defensive trio of Sunday Aryang, KadieAnn Dehaney and Fran Williams will need to limit the Giants super shot strength with Sophie Dwyer, Jo Harten and Matisse Letherbarrow all extremely capable from the two-point arc.
Dwyer sits second behind Swift Helen Housby for super shots, scoring 53 from 85 at 62 per cent.
Head Coach Dan Ryan said the squad expects a tough Giants squad.
“They’re really going to test our super shot defence and our ability to endure the scoreboard pressure,” he said.
“It’s a great test for us to fine tune the parts of our game that we need to be better.”
The West Coast Fever Reserves ensured a clean sweep of the Club’s fixtures against the NSW Swifts, defeating the Swifts Academy 56 to 48 at the Gold Netball Centre.
After a tight first quarter, Fever dominated play in the second and third quarters to go into the final change with a commanding 16-goal lead.
While the Swifts cut the margin in the final quarter, the damage had already been done as MVP Emma Putt finished with 21 from 24 including a supershot. Putt was on fire in goal shooter opposed to former Silver Fern in Ellie Temu.
Fever Reserves defensive pressure was built again
through work rate and coming off to look for ball. Caitlyn Brown and Ruth Aryang were again superb ably supported by Jess Repacholi.
The Cransberg twins were again dangerous doing the hard work to get the ball onto circle edge which allowed Putt and Olivia Wilkinson to hit the scoreboard.

Firebirds led by four goals when Dehaney contacted Macy Gardiner which drew a penalty. It earnt Dehaney two minutes off the court and forced Aryang to play one out in the circle.
Williams entered the court after two minutes and Fever were back to seven on the court and went to work.
By the time Power Five rolled around, Fever had cut the margin to five goals.
Two super shots from Fowler-Nembhard and the Fever were within one until Wallam stepped up again in the two-point period, like she had done all night.
Back in Round One, West Coast Fever produced an extraordinary performance to start the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season, recording a 19-goal win over the Giants in Sydney.
Fever led from start to finish and showed their new list has plenty of speed, flexibility and scoring prowess as the Jamaican duo of Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard and Shanice Beckford transferred their international connection onto the SSN court.
Beckford was joined by Fran Williams and Olivia Wilkinson in making their SSN Debuts, while Kelsey Browne and Kadie-Ann Dehaney wore the green dress for the first time.
