‘Softly Awakes my Heart’ is a set of three pieces for solo piano, ideally played without interruption. The work was written in Athens, in 2006, and it is dedicated to pianist Leto Thomou, also appearing in the recent EP release by Donemus Records (2021), under the same title.

1) Generally speaking, all initial notes could be slightly held back; the peak tempo of each phrase is approximately reached half - way through its total value. These minute differences, should not be applied mechanically, but as a result of the inward impulse of the musical expression and without ever impeding the sense of continuous movement.
