You composed the piece in 2019, right? Was there a reason or occasion why you came up with this idea of going wild and crazy, this idea of destruction, of pluralism and boundlessness back then?
"The idea of fusing apparently disparate elements into a unifying whole always intrigued me; here various fragments from Varese, Chopin, Bartok, to mention just a few, provide a colourful canvas of textures and tensions and a wonderful opportunity to create a commentary of new relations and new meanings. At the time I was writing Pandemonium the notion of the “found object“ and the serendipitous circumstances which connect various things together was important to me. Logical music processes establish continuity and stability, but is this always desirable?"
