Faith Meets Technology “Just because you’re doing something for the glory of God doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy!” For Wes Bowen, creating Truth Traveler has been one of his most challenging projects. After two years and a $35 million investment, his vision of an immersive biblical experience opened in the fall of 2025 in Branson’s former Andy Williams Moon River Theatre. The award-winning attraction combines cutting-edge 5D virtual reality, motion seating, sensory effects and interactive storytelling to transport visitors through biblical history. Guests can experience scenes ranging from Noah’s Ark and Christ’s crucifixion to His resurrection and ascension “It’s all about the story,” says Bowen, managing member of Mindscape Creative LLC. “The story is more important than the medium.” The approximately 90-minute experience begins with a time-travel-themed pre-show, followed by a journey through nine virtual reality pods. Visitors can then enjoy “Fear Not,” an immersive theater experience featuring lights, projections and music. With a themed snack bar and gift shop rounding out the attraction, Bowen says Truth Traveler represents the biggest and most extensive venue his team has created. “Trying to represent God’s story in a respectful world-class way was our biggest challenge,” he says. “This is an experience that will really strengthen your faith — and knock your socks off!”
