Jefferson Parish is one of Louisiana’s most dynamic and diverse communities. Stretching from the shores of Lake Pontchartrain to the banks of the Mississippi River and from Grand Isle to Metairie, Jefferson Parish is home to thriving neighborhoods, outstanding local businesses, world-class dining, family-friendly attractions, and a strong sense of community pride. That community spirit is the foundation of Best of Jefferson Parish. Created to recognize and celebrate the businesses, organizations, and individuals that residents trust and support, this inaugural contest highlights the very best the parish has to offer, as chosen by the people who know it best.
The response from the community has been incredible. More than 1,900 businesses, organizations, and individuals competed across 256 categories, generating over 138,000 votes in the contest’s first year. That remarkable level of participation demonstrates the enthusiasm residents have for supporting local businesses and the pride they take in their favorite restaurants, shops, service providers, healthcare professionals, entertainment venues, and community organizations throughout Jefferson Parish.

Rapid Urgent Care most commonly treats non-lifethreatening illnesses and injuries, including flu symptoms, bronchitis, asthma, sore throats, urinary tract infections, sprains, fractures, and lacerations.

The clinics also provide preventative and occupational health services such as school and sports physicals, DOT physicals, drug screenings, and vaccinations.
Text notifications keep patients updated on their place in line, while telemedicine services offer additional flexibility for individuals unable to visit in person.

Technology also plays a major role in helping the clinics maintain accessibility and convenience. Patients can reserve a spot online and wait from home or their vehicle rather than sitting in a crowded waiting room.
That combination of speed and compassion continues to stand out, even during busy periods. Stacy Preston praised Rapid Urgent Care for maintaining a welcoming environment while ensuring patients feel heard and supported. “They’re quick, accommodating, and kind every time I go in,” Stacy said. “The staff

Rebecca Goforth Bush described the organization as her family’s first choice for treatment, noting the consistency she experienced throughout multiple visits. “The front desk staff members have always been friendly and efficient,” she shared. “We were taken back to an examination room with very little wait, and all our questions were answered.”
