The university parallel programs are offered for students who plan to transfer to a senior college to earn a four-year degree. The Associate in Arts degree is awarded for successful completion of a university-parallel program. The programs of study within this division are used only as a suggested guide in course selection. The adviser will follow the university catalog curricula in order to insure transfer of earned credits. To graduate, a student must complete the core requirements and other courses for a total of 63 semester hours.

Vocational and technical programs are offered for students who will seek employment upon completion of program. The Associate in Applied Science degree is conferred for successful completion of a technical program. A certificate is awarded for completion of a vocational program.

All programs are designed as terminal; however, transfer of credit is at the discretion of the receiving university. To graduate, a student must complete al courses within a particular curriculum.

A major portion of funding for most programs is provided by the bureau of Vocational Education, Mississippi State department of education.

The newly renovated Northeast Fitness Center offers state-of-theart services and equipment including: • Student ID card swipe access • Hand towel checkout service at front desk • 7500 sq ft of fitness floor with indoor walking path • Free weight area (with dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, and more) • Weight machine area with full body line-up of industry-best strength training machines • Cardio area with 19 pieces of cardio training equipment including bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers, and rowing machines • Entertainment wall in the cardio area will feature eight 60” televisions with tv audio available via smartphone app allowing access to TV audio anywhere in the facility • 10 state-of-the-art spinning bikes featuring industry exclusive “coach by color” displays • Fitness classes including spin, bootcamp, kettlebell/battleRope, yoga, and more • Fitness Director and staff available for fitness training and nutritional guidance
