The Fight 4 Victory 3 proved it can pack a punch on Saturday night. A sell out crowd of almost 2000 people packed the Trafalgar Centre for the 11-bout card and well and truly got their money’s worth. Organiser Paul Hampton says the night was likely to raise between $70,000 and $80,000 for Victory Boxing once final calculations were made. Nelson councillor Mike Rutledge won the main event with a split decision victory over personal trainer Matt Ayloff. The opening fight of the night between heavyweights Joni Nacagilevu and Pou Fitisemanu started the night strongly, with Pou outlasting his opponent to set a trend for the night for his red corner team mates.
