it to the next level. “It’s time for me to step back, it’s getting busier and bigger every year and it’s getting too big just for me.” The show attracts thousands to Tahunanui Beach each year to check out classic and vintage cars, hotrods and even aircraft.
Steve says, between his day job as a manager for Envirowaste and him building his own home, there was little time to dedicate to the event. He helped start the Motor Show four years ago and since then it has grown into a major event on the car calendar.
“It’s just incredible. Every year new people turn up. It changes every year.” He thought it might suit a car club, association or even a business looking for something to use as a promotional tool. Steve says he has always wanted the Motor Show to be for every-

one. “Even if you bring along a $500 car or a $500,000 car, you will be treated the same. You get a young fellah, with a $500 car he is proud of that. When he is 50 like the rest of us he will end up with something different. He
