Students brave sea
Usually a “run in, run out” exercise, Tahunanui School’s mid-winter swim on Thursday was probably its longest and warmest ever. While some shot off for a hot shower and a Milo, most of the 100 students, including Emma Newson, Zara Stevenson and Sam Moritz pictured above, had to be encouraged to leave the water, clearly happy and warm enough.

iPads save police time
Allowing police to use iPads and iPhones will increase efficiency by 30 minutes each day, according to a Nelson sergeant. As part of a new device rollout, 6500 frontline officers were given an iPhone with a further 3900 given an iPad to use on the job. The Nelson officers included in this
