Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 6th from 11:00am - 1:00pm! We will be packing nonperishable food supply boxes for distribution to neighbors in need, inspect and sort food donations, and pack orders for one of more than 40 food pantries in Mecklenburg County.
Nourish Up is dedicated to ending food insecurity in Mecklenburg County and creating a community where everyone has access to groceries through food pantries, home delivery, pop up food shares, lunches, and more.
If you plan to attend, please email SarahJane.Pleasant@nelsonmullins.com and Jonathan.Alef@nelsonmullins.com - we will send over registration information! Spouses, friends and children are welcome, but they must be 14 or older!
Food Drive: as an o ce we will be collecting non-perishable food items to take with us!! Plot twist - we will be doing a little competition - the floor (23 vs. 24) with the most donations will have a cookie party the week after!
Bins will be coming to designated areas on each floor in mid-July!

Communication Counts 5k
Thank you to all who showed up to run/jog/walk! Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center was able to raise over $56,000 with 382 participants surpassing all goals for CC5k 2025! This event helps provide our community with speech and hearing evaluations, therapy, hearing aids, and so much more!

Julien Polk, Of Counsel on the CLT Real Estate and Capital Markets Team. With degrees from Johnson C. Smith University, Florida Coastal School of Law, and Temple University, Julien brings experience in contract management and M&A transactions from the largest tire distributor in North America.
Summer Associates: Madison Chance and Spencer Lewis
Madison (Corporate/Real Estate Capital Markets) is a 2L at Wake Forest and will be with us for the first half of the summer - through June 20th . Spencer (Litigation) is a 2L at Wake Forest and will be with us the full summer - through July 18th .
Chloe Adams, who is spending the summer with us as an IP Intern. She is a junior at Wake Forest majoring in Engineering with a Math minor. She is focused on the intersection of engineering and law and wants to pursue a career in intellectual property law
Christie Dee, Of Counsel on the DEDukes team. A double Tarheel with over a decade of litigation and eDiscovery experience, she specializes in managing complex discovery processes, guiding corporate clients through EDRM phases, and implementing best practices for consistency, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
Will Purnell, litigation Partner on the MABrown team, is a seasoned corporate litigation counsel for global manufacturers, specializing in complex legal matters, arbitration, mediation, settlement and risk management while advocating for diversity in the legal profession.
Mary Kate Melfi, litigation Paralegal on the MWilliams team, earned her degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University and LSU before joining the U.S. Attorney’s O ce, where she managed discovery and trials for the Special Prosecution Team on cases involving human tra cking and crimes against children.
