HOW DO COMMISSIONS WORK? A breakdown

Often in the US Sellers pay the Listing Agent as well as the Buyer’s Agent. We pull the most recent closings near you to let you know the range of Buyer Agent fees so you can make an informed decision.

Both Agents pay a fee (part of their commission) to their brokerage. They also pay their costs to run a business – i.e. licensing, insurance, professional fees, apps, software, etc.

The Listing Agent (The Nelson Group) pays for all the marketing, photography, ad re-targeting, advertising, Tour fees and pays the Broker (Realty Executives).

If you offer 6% Commissions total the listing agent and Buyer’s Agent each get a portion of that. The exact amounts are outlined in your Exclusive Right to Sell contract.
