FROM THE OWNER Dear Prospective Home Buyers, Our family has lived in Foster's Crest since 2013 and it has been a wonderful experience. The decision to move was not an easy one since we absolutely love the location and the home; however, it was necessary to move, to make it more convenient for our friends and family that help care for our son.

We love how quiet and family-oriented the neighborhood is. On nice days, it's common to see families walking around, kids riding bikes and playing in the tot lots. The HOA also periodically organizes events like yard sales and get-togethers so there's really a sense of community for those that choose to participate. Foster’s Crest is a relatively close-knit group and a private Facebook page is used to keep one another informed on important updates like events and things happening around the neighborhood - people post frequently on the page. One nice feature of this community is that the HOA is extremely responsive and my experience with any issues and concerns have always been addressed promptly. Another unique feature of the community is that there are plenty of available guest parking spaces. Visitors rarely have any issues finding a space so it's great to be able to entertain without them having to park on the street or outside of the community.

We are close to restaurants (some within walking distance; both chain and locally owned), 4 major grocery stores (Wegmans, Safeway, Giant, and Aldi (opening soon), retail Springfield Town Center and Kingstowne, and two movie theaters within minutes of one another. This made it possible for us to run the majority of our errands during the day and enjoy date nights the same day. Just a 5-minute car ride up the road there's a quaint produce stand/garden center called Nalls Produce Stand. During the fall, they have a pumpkin patch set-up for kids and pretty much year-round, they have chickens, geese, and even a pig on the property; it's a fun pit-stop that we always enjoyed with our family. INOVA Healthplex is walking distance with access to healthcare providers of different specialties. I loved being able to take our son to an appointment and then have the option to go to my own health visits in the same building. Being so close to our Pediatricians office (they have late hours) is such a bonus because after a long day at work the last thing we wanted to do was drive far to take him to his appointments.

My husband and I commute to work together and the easy access to the major highways (95, 395 & 495); the Fairfax County Parkway; and public transportation is really convenient. It's less than a 30-minute walk to the Franconia-Springfield Metro station or you can take a short bus ride on the Fairfax Connector to the station (there are multiple stops in front of the community). There have been multiple occasions where I've had to find my own way home so these commuter options have been a life saver. Also, as a side note, the Franconia-Springfield Metro station has buses that go to and from New York periodically throughout the week - it's a fun option for a quick getaway.

Aside from the community itself, things that we will miss from this home are: the energy efficiency of the home; the quality of the sound insulation; and how much natural light beams into the house. It just feels like home when you walk in.

There have been so many great memories there and we just love the location. We hope that you enjoy this home as much as we have, along with all of the conveniences and benefits that the neighborhood has to offer. It's a great place to live and to build memories - we will miss everything about our home in Foster's Crest.
