FROM THE OWNER Dear Prospective Home Buyers, Our family has lived on Ridge Water Court for the past five and a half years, and we have loved every moment of living in this wonderful neighborhood. We brought three babies home to this house, helped our kids catch their first fish in the pond, and watched them learn to bike without training wheels on the neighborhood sidewalks. Although we are pursuing a long-time dream of owning land in the country, we will be forever grateful for this beautiful home that gave us such sweet memories and the wonderful neighbors we leave behind. When we moved to Centreville, we searched high and low for the perfect townhome, and after viewing hundreds of homes online and in person, we knew we’d found it at 6874 Ridge Water Court! The deck was the perfect retreat through every season, with bright green views in the spring and summer, gorgeous yellow and orange leaves in the fall, and a clear view to the lake in the winter (a true treasure in the Northern Virginia area!). Our family enjoyed roasting marshmallows, eating meals, lingering over late-night conversations, and listening to the birds sing during early morning coffees on that deck—a little slice of heaven and a much-needed respite! Some of the memories I’ll cherish most are cozying up in the living room with the fireplace crackling in the background (it’s especially wonderful around Christmas time!), movie nights in the basement (the basement wall is the perfect spot to project movies for the full home theatre experience), and watching through the kitchen window as our kids played outside with their neighbor friends while dinner was cooking. Ridge Water Court has some of the best neighbors we’ve ever had in one place. It’s a quiet neighborhood tucked away on a low-traffic street with lovely people who care so well for one another and take the time to wave “hello” on their morning and evening walks. Even our mail lady, Miss Donna, has made living on Ridge Water Court such a treasured experience. We found over the years that this home was situated in the perfect location. Quiet and set back from the road, but still in close proximity to Rt. 28, Rt. 29 and I-66 with easy access to the Vienna metro and a 10 minute drive to the VRE station (reverse commute, on Rt. 28 South) and a nearby Park and Ride lot (1.3 miles, with free and ample parking). The new construction at the Rt. 28 and I-66 interchange (open to commuters this November) will provide even easier access to express and general-use lanes along I-66 and Rt. 28, as well as extended bike and pedestrian trails. This $3.7 billion Transform 66 Outside the Beltway project will provide quicker, easier access to the DC metro area and bolster property value. Nearby shopping centers give access to some of the best restaurants in the Northern Virginia area (Ciao Osteria Italian, Sakoon Thai, Iron Age Korean BBQ, Tony’s Pizza, and Peterson’s Ice Cream Depot in Clifton were some of our favorites). We loved having absolutely everything at our fingertips— Giant Food, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, Walmart, Home Goods, World Market, Target, multiple gyms, and so much more! It truly was the best home in the best possible location! We are truly going to miss this wonderful home perfectly situated on a fantastic street with the most amazing neighbors. We have taken great care to ensure this home is in excellent condition for the next owners to enjoy years of joy-filled memories, as we did.
