Dear Prospective Home Buyer, Thank you for your interest in 10220 Heron Pond Terrace, as it has been our home for the last 4 ½ years.

We have lived in the DMV since 2012, starting out in a studio apartment in Rosslyn and moving to a one bedroom apartment in Ballston soon after. We knew we wanted to buy a house to start our family so we began our search after we got married in 2015. We found this gem in 2016 and have loved the Burke area since then!

Burke has so much to offer a young family! There are so many playgrounds, walking paths, and the beauty of Burke Lake Park to enjoy. We love spending weekends at the lake, packing picnic lunches and watching our sons explore. Commuting into DC for work is a breeze with the VRE less than a 5 minute drive away. There are tons of delicious food options right in Burke and we love supporting local businesses. Everything you need is close by!

This house has meant so much to us. It is our first house, and it’s where we brought our baby boys home from the hospital. Our sons spent hours in the nursery enchanted by the sea creatures on the walls. Our dining room was the setting of so many delicious (and messy!) meals. Our floors have witnessed our older son’s first steps, and our younger son’s first time rolling over. We have filled this house with music, off-key singing, and above all, laughter. We hope you will feel the same love and joy we have felt living here.

One of our favorite parts of the house is the back deck. We have loved grilling, visiting with neighbors, and enjoying the wooded view. It is rare in this neighborhood for the back of your house to face trees instead of another townhouse and we took full advantage of this special feature. The basement has been so versatile, giving us space for entertaining, movie nights, and eventually a playroom for our children. We hope you’ll enjoy the extra room downstairs which we have lovingly referred to as the “bonus room.” It has been an office, storage room, and a workout room.

This home is the place where we became a family, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts.
