Dear Prospective Buyer: What first attracted us to this home are the beautiful hardwood floors on the main level. They lead you to the dramatic staircase and renovated kitchen with gorgeous oak cabinets and stainless steel refrigerator. We like the open floor plan and built-in bookcase. This has been a great living arrangement for us with three bedrooms upstairs and a lot of usable space in the basement. The entire house has been freshly painted. The basement is finished except for a large laundry room and storage area and was remodeled in December 2011including the addition of a new water heater. We also waterproofed the basement including installation of a large sump pump that handled Superstorm Sandy with ease. The basement includes a full brick fireplace with mantel which has been great for cold winter nights and big game viewing. We like the light in the walk out basement and the door that leads to a fully decked patio with large storage shed. We also replaced one of the back fences and gate in Summer 2012. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two baths. We liked the large Master suite with walk-in closet and bathroom. The two other bedrooms share a full-size bathroom with linen closet. We used one bedroom as a joint office and the other bedroom as our guest room. We really like this location close to the Beltway. We wanted to be close to Huntington Metro for easy commuting downtown. We also love it that we have easy access to freeways going east, west, north, and south. It is great to live next to the shopping and restaurants of Kingstowne including Kohls, WalMart, Giant, Safeway and a 16 theater movie center. Our two favorite restaurants are King Street Blues in Kingstowne and the sports bar Lucky’s in Manchester Lakes. We have taken advantage of living near Huntley Meadows Park, Greendale Golf Course, Lee District Recreation Center and Park, and two Fairfax County Public Libraries.
