Dear new home owner,
We are Chris and Beth Boyd and want to be first to welcome you to 422 Mosby Drive SW. Purchased in 2013, we have loved breathing new life into the home and living in the neighborhood. We are relocating to Massachusetts to be closer to our extended family.
We were first drawn to the home because of the proximity to downtown Leesburg. From tasty restaurants, new breweries and adorable shops, historic Leesburg has something for everyone. There are also numerous festivals and parades including the annual Flower and Garden Festival, a jewel of the spring here in town. Just a little outside of town is a world of wineries and antiques, as well as Morven Park which hosts a yearly Harry Potter festival and Polo in the Park.
The immediate neighborhood is also a gem. Mosby Drive and Morven Park SW combine to be a quiet dead-end cul-de-sac which is wonderful for families. There is an active book club, neighborhood list-serve, two annual block parties and a real sense of closeness, cooperation and community. It is a very special time to live on the block.
When we purchased the home, it was primarily in its original form from 1976 and we intended this to be our forever home. Over the decade we have thoughtfully remodeled nearly the entire house including the kitchen, bathrooms, appliances, water heater, HVAC systems, outdoor patio, with sink hook-up and hot tub, garage door, flooring and much more. We have also added a number of wireless conveniences including a full-house alarm system, keyless door entry, wifi enabled garage, and thermostats.
We have had so many wonderful memories in this house and hope the next owner will enjoy our upgrades and make it their own.
Attached you will find an overview of the vendors we have used over the years as well as instructions for connecting to the wireless options. We will also include a binder with manuals and other information for the house.
