Dear Prospective Home Buyer We welcome you to take a look at the home we have loved on Colonial Village Loop for the last 16 years. As we plan to move into the retirement phase of our lives, we are flooded with wonderful memories of the years our family has lived at this location. We’ve raised five children in this home, seen them through scouts and 4H, sent them off to college, and hosted some of their graduations and weddings. Even now when everyone is home to visit, our grown children talk about their adventures in the woods behind the house, or racing their bikes around the loop, or chalking enormous pictures on our very long driveway. One of our favorite family activities has been hiking in Prince William National Park. We’ve walked all 37 miles of trail there in every single season. And still, with just our youngest children at home, we enjoy sitting in the morning room watching the many bird species and appreciating the way the trees change with every season. As a military family, we’ve found that the commute to the Pentagon is fairly easy from this location, and the commute to Quantico is nothing short of fantastic. It’s possible for an athletic person to ride a bike to Quantico through Prince William Forest. And we’ve made excellent use of our proximity to Washington DC and many American History sites in learning about our nation’s history, enjoying the rich collections of the Smithsonian, and taking advantage of special tours of our government buildings. We really believe we’ve been able to have it all. The neighborhood itself is a close-knit community, bonded by the schools and swim team as well as by community events. Our street in particular is a quiet circle, off the path of through traffic, so it’s quiet and peaceful. We are certainly going to miss it!
