Our names are Scott and Michelle Van Buren. 7722 Carrleigh Parkway has been our home for over 21 years. We raised our kids here and in fact some of our kids still live in the surrounding communities. We are retiring soon and have decided to downsize in preparation for that event. Our retirement is a great opportunity for you. We made a great choice in 1999. West Springfield is a great community with outstanding schools. Our kids received a great education in the West Springfield schools… all of them have earned or are well on their way to degrees at the college level. They married in 2012 and are raising our grandkids nearby. Lake Accotink is a beautiful park with trails, picnic areas and boat rentals. Our family loved playing down at the creek right behind the house. It’s a little bit of a walk and its downhill at least one way. You’re going to enjoy your neighbors a lot. There are lots of families with kids and it’s so rewarding to see them running around the neighborhood having fun just the way our kids did a decade ago. There are many barbeques and neighborhood get togethers at the pool. Independence Day is always fun with many neighborhood parties and fireworks. The commute to Washington DC is very easy. The VRE operates a 2-line service that runs to DC in the morning and out to Manassas and Fredericksburg in the afternoon. The Rolling Road station is about a 7minute drive from this location. The Franconia Springfield Metro is about a 10–15-minute drive depending on the time of day.
