FROM THE OWNER Dear Prospective Home Buyers, In 2002, this townhome became our first home purchase and has been a great house for our family over the last 18 years. We were happy to buy this brand-new house and were excited that we were able to make several upgrades with the interior. Coming from a small 1-bedroom apartment, we chose the open-kitchen option. It is so much more spacious than the tiny kitchen we had in our apartment. We opted to have the builder fully finish the basement. We have been so glad we made that decision. As a result, we have really appreciated the flexibility a fully finished basement afforded us. Additionally, the builder’s efficient use of space in the floorplan allowed us to adapt as our family grew.

We moved in as a young married couple with our first child on the way. Over the years, we’ve grown from a couple to a family of 5. We have appreciated the versatility that our home has provided. Two of the three bedrooms upstairs have served many different roles including guest room, nursery, kids’ rooms, and office space. By having a fully finished basement, we’ve been able to use the large open basement room as family room, office, storage space, play room, and kids’ room. The basement den gave us added flexibility and has served as guest room, office, storage room, library, and exercise room. We’ve spent the majority of our time on the middle level. As such, we’ve used the open area for family game time, homework zone, family movie time, Bible study gathering, and more. The spacious kitchen accommodates our large dinner table where we’ve hosted family get-togethers with ten people eating in there.

As an active family with kids’ activities and two working parents, this house has been a very convenient place to live. We’ve appreciated being close to a good selection of doctors, urgent cares, and an emergency room; close to a commuter lot for carpooling or catching a bus; so close to so many stores and restaurants; mere minutes from all the schools (Elementary, Middle and High); close to a few parks; and minutes from the interstate. Our neighborhood has tot lots, sidewalks and trails, a neighborhood pool, and a large field in the back to play in. Dog owners can also enjoy the new dog park near the large playing field.

We have enjoyed the private serenity that the trees behind our house offer. We have also enjoyed living among friendly and kind neighbors.

My husband lost his mom to cancer about 10 years ago. His Dad recently turned 81 and realized he needed to be free of the burden of taking care of a large house and he needed to be closer to family. So, he sold his house, and we welcomed him into our household. Now, the best thing for Dad is to find a house that doesn’t require him to walk so many stairs and that gives him a bit more space to call his own.
