BULLETIN #62

March 17, 2025

TO BE READ IN ALL CHURCHES IN JAMAICA UNION CONFERENCE

Dear Brethren

Warmest Christian Greetings.

Youth engagement is critical for mission. Therefore, the Jamaica Union Conference will be hosting, for the first time, an Ambassador Convention on Sabbath, April 12, 2025, at the West Jamaica Conference Center, under the theme “Living for Impact.”

The Ambassador age group (16 - 21 years) is susceptible to leaving the church, therefore, we strive to deepen their engagement and foster lasting commitment.

The main objectives are to impart new strategies for youth engagement and retention, by highlighting the relevance of the Ambassador ministry for the targeted age group, and to get the support of administrators, pastors, elders, and other stakeholders toward wider implementation of the Ambassador Ministry in our churches.

Our main speaker is Pastor Ted Wilson, our GC President. He will be supported by Pastor Elie Henry, our Division President; Pastor Pako Mokgwane, our GC Ambassador Ministry Leader; and Pastor Al Powell, our IAD Youth Ministries Director.

We would appreciate each Church sending the following Youth Leaders:

1. Adventist Youth Ministries Director

2. Ambassador Leader

3. Pathfinder Director

4. Adventurer Director

Whereas our desire is to have the four youth leaders mentioned above, we are expecting at least two youth leaders and a youth (at least 3 delegates) from each congregation to be present.

We wish you every blessing as you continue to fulfil the mission of the Church, and we look forward to seeing you and your delegation in April.

Sincerely,

North East Jamaica Conference

To the Pastor and Men's Ministries Leader,

Subject: Annual Men's Ministry Fee

Christian Greetings

Following meetings held on January 25th and March 15th with Men's Ministries leaders across the constituency, it was agreed that an annual fee of three thousand dollars ($3,000) be collected from the local church Men’s Ministries. This fee is to be remitted to the Men's Ministries Department at the conference office to facilitate the effective operation of future departmental programs.

We appreciate your continued support of the Men's Ministries Department as we work together to strengthen ministry to men within the North East Jamaica Conference.

Please ensure that the funds are sent to the conference office by April 10, 2025.

Yours in the Master’s Service

To all Stewardship Leaders

Christian Greetings

International Environment Day, observed on June 5th, presents a vital opportunity for our churches to demonstrate our commitment to responsible stewardship of God's creation. We are calling upon you to begin planning now to make this a meaningful and impac tful event.

We strongly recommend that each church partner with its local community to engage in activities that promote environmental protection. This collaboration strengthens our connection with our neighbors and amplifies our collective impact.

To assist you in your planning, we will post some suggestions in the stewardship WhatsApp group. We encourage you to tailor the suggested activities to the specific needs and context of your community. Your dedication and leadership in this endeavor are highly valued.

We are confident that through collaborative efforts, we can make a significant difference in protecting our environment.

We look forward to your support as we seek to make this event special and one to be remembered.
