Christian greetings from the North East Jamaica Youth Ministries Department. We are using this medium to inform/remind you of the following events on the Youth Ministries Calendar for 2024 and hope that you will encourage the youth of your church to actively participate in them as you continue to show your unwavering support for this ministry.

1. Annual Subscriptions for the Youth Federation: Churches are reminded that subscriptions are due. The cost is $2,500 for churches with less than 300 members and $3,000 for those with more than 300 members. Pathfinder and Adventurer clubs are also asked to pay an annual fee of $2000 per club which should accompany the registration documents.

2. Delroy Gordon Training Institute 2024 Training Programme Launch: The launch and consecration service will be on February 24, 2024, at the Dover Church starting at 4:00 pm with registration at sunset. The first Basic Staff Training (BST) session will be online on February 25, followed by a face-to-face session on March 3, 2024. Please encourage all untrained youth leaders to enrol

3. Global Youth and Children's Day will be Sabbath, March 16, 2024, and will be under the theme: Show Up: In the Cities. Churches are being asked to impact their communities in the morning and as a Conference, we will ‘Show Up’ in Port Maria for our Conference impact. Please begin to plan for this worldwide Youth Ministries and church event as we seek to be the sermon and show God’s love and care to all around us. T-Shirts are for sale. See the flyer and order link.

4. Bible Connection is about helping our youth reconnect with the word of God and the Spirit of prophecy. As such we encourage all churches and Adventist Youth Societies to include this programme as a regular part of your weekly programming. We encourage all to get involved in this bible reconnection experience. The books being studied for this year are Genesis and Patriarchs and Prophets. Please speak with your AY Leader to verify which chapters and books you will need to study.

5. Easter Camp is on for 2024 after 4 years of absence and it promises to be a great experience for our youth. Please plan and save for the upcoming event. The details will be given shortly.

Thank you for your support during 2023 and we anticipate its continuance in 2024.

Yours in the Master’s service,

North East Jamaica Conference Youth Ministries Department

TITHING PRINCIPLES

8. Regularity and system to be exercised in returning to God His own.

And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather them into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited. Nehemiah 12:44.

“This matter of giving is not left to impulse. God has given us definite instruction in regard to it. He has specified tithes and offerings as the measure of our obligation. And he desires us to give regularly and systematically ...Let each regularly examine his income, which is all a blessing from God, and set apart the tithe as a separate fund, to be sacredly the Lord’s...After the tithe is set apart, let gifts and offerings be apportioned ‘as God hath prospered you.’” R&H, May 9, 1893

Nehemiah 10:32-39; 2 Chronicles 31:11-21; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8, 9; Testimonies for the Church 3:411; R&H, May19, 1893; Testimonies for the Church 3:393-394.

Books are still available for sale and will be sold at Officers’ Council tomorrow. The Publishing Department will also have other books on sale.

Contact the North East Jamaica Conference Publishing Department office for prices.

I am more anxious to see a wide circulation for this book than for any others … for in The Great Controversy, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books.
