I say this not just as a lifelong resident whose family’s public service roots run generations deep but also as a proud business owner who saw firsthand this cornfield-filled community boom into an economic engine and destination for families seeking the best in public safety, education, recreation and suburban living.

This is a transformative time as we build on our past successes. Our downtown will soon welcome additional retailers like a new Barnes & Noble and Alo Yoga to complement our ever-growing list of locally owned businesses. On our north side, a team is strategizing how our Interstate 88 corridor can attract and retain the best businesses focused on life science, health, technology, research and technical manufacturing to evolve into an Innovation Corridor for the future. Additionally, a Life Time Athletic Resort and a litany of additional retail and dining destinations are in development along southern and central Route 59.
