It was a great turn out for the Gordon Jackson Cup Trial hosted by Hookwood at Frensham Vale on the 9th February.

62 riders took on the well laid out sections on the muddy banks, set out by James Connor and his team who worked hard to get it just right for the anticipated bad weather.

And despite Storm Ciara's best efforts every rider finished the 2 laps of 18 sections, with many riders praising the fun nature of the sections.

In the Experts we had Jack Taylor take the win with only 16ml followed closely by Tom McCabe with 19ml, taking on the Blues John Dismore in the over 40's only lost 6 marks as did Mark Watmore in the Inters. We had Richard and Miles Gillham take the win on the Sidecars with 32ml, Nigel Brimecombe having a good ride with 16ml on the Reds and Adrian Mountain took the Twinshock honours with 21ml, in the over 50s we had Chris Neville with 18ml, Graham Barton took the Pre 67 Red route win with 17ml while the Pre 67 Yellow route winner was Simon Bransbury with 11ml, David White took the Sportsman win with 17ml.

In the Youth Classes we had an amazing ride from Luke Batten taking on the Yellows with 9ml, Thomas Packham storming the Reds on the slippery banks with 42ml and Daniel Dabreo took the win on the Youth Experts with 58ml. Section 8 seemed to catch many riders out with slippery roots and tight turns all on a steep bank. One of the youngest riders of the day Freddy Amis aged 6 didn't let Storm Ciara spoil his day.
