Canada Day holds great importance for all Canadians, as we reflect on our nation's history, celebrate our shared values, and express gratitude for the blessings of living in this country. As Ontario's Minister of Children, Community and Social Services and your MPP for Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill, I invite you to join me in celebrating this special occasion.

Canada Day provides us with a valuable opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, friends and family over festivities. As the long weekend approaches, let us take the time to gather with our community to celebrate what we love the most about our wonderful country - either by gathering to watch fireworks, going to a community event, visiting a historical monument or enjoying a day at a national park.

Ontario stands out as a remarkable place to celebrate Canada Day. As we celebrate Canada Day, we recognize our province’s diverse communities, stunning landscapes, and cultural treasures. I take pride in this land we call home, for we live in the best province in the best country in the world - without a doubt because of the incredible residents who have formed and contributed to its vibrant social, cultural and economic fabric.
