The Ontario government is investing in seniors of Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill by funding $91,590 into projects that will help seniors stay safe, fit, and socially connected with the Seniors Community Grants their CanSkate members on December 17th! The Aurora Skating Club is a not-for-profit Skate Canada sanctioned club that has been teaching in Aurora since 1953. They teach CanSkate; Learn to Skate, STARSkate - Figure Skating and Adult/Teens. They also have a Synchronized Skating Team called Borealis.
The announcement from MPP Michael Parsa recognized four community organizations in the riding; Canadian Senior Cooperation Association, Formerly Cpx 139 Inc/ Playforever, Toronto Asian Art Museum and York Region Food Network.
On December 16th, Michael Parsa, MPP Aurora-Oak Ridges-Richmond Hill, recognized the invaluable contributions, commitment and support of three individuals; Ross Toms, Russ Horner and Bonnie Robertson. These volunteer of the year awards signify the continuous service, outstanding commitment and contributions of these amazing community members.
