An Honoring Sendoff For
Oquenock’s Principal
After 11 years serving as principal of Oquenock Elementary School in the West Islip School District, Principal Jack Maniscalco retired at the close of the school year. Students, staff and parents decided to give him the appropriate sendoff on June 22 to show their appreciation. Dressed in red, white and blue to honor his former military service, students and staff gathered in the hallway for a clap-out as Mr. Maniscalco walked the hallways. Outside, parents, community, board of education members, administrators and former students gathered to say goodbye to the principal. "I love them, there's no better words to describe it," Maniscalco said. Annual Jones Beach Volleyball Tournament
at Central Mall Field 4 at Jones Beach State Park. The first round of matches will be played as a round robin. All teams are guaranteed to play seven games. The top two teams from each round robin bracket will advance on to the quarterfinals which will decide the two final teams. Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams. The 3rd and 4th place teams
