eatuck Environmental Association Education Director Pete Walsh recently visited fourth-graders at Islip’s Maud S. Sherwood Elementary School, introducing them to Seatuck’s tools and procedures, and the reasons behind the organization’s crucial work in hydrogeology. During the classroom talk, Walsh and the students examined the journey that local water takes from groundwater to surface water, ponds and to the Bay.
