The Smithtown Central School District has announced Brian Dolan as the new Accompsett Middle School assistant principal.
“I am excited to be in Smithtown because of the tradition of excellence,” Dolan said.
Dolan started his career at Harborfields High School as a social studies teacher, then moved to Oldfield Middle School as a special education teacher.
For the past two years he was an assistant principal at Connetquot Central School District. He collaborated with another assistant principal
to create a Connetquot Drug Education Awareness program to further establish relationships
and help students make the right choices for their future. He also worked with the Future Teachers of America club to have club members present lessons on being kind and making the right decision to elementary students.
Dolan also has coached boys basketball, middle school football and golf in the Harborfields Central School District.
“The Smithtown learning community encourages all to grow and learn...I am eager to begin making connections with all members of the community,” he said.
