Rainforest Lesson
irst-graders in Ms. Waters’ class at Barnum Woods Elementary School in the East Meadow School District recently participated in a workshop about tropical rainforests hosted by the Long Island Center for Arts and Sciences. The workshop, led by instructor Christina Godfrey, included a slideshow presentation, which focused on different animals and plants in rainforests. Pictured are a few of the participants enjoying the lesson.
