‘500 FOR 500’ COMPETITION WINNERS - Massapequa High School seniors Juliana Lovett and Christopher Flaherty won a ‘500 for 500’ competition. This was an essay competition, which was sponsored by Dr. Cynthia Paulis. Participants had to express why veterans are important to this country in 500 words. There will be a ceremony held in the American Legion in Massapequa on February 23rd, where the winners will read their essays. The ceremony will begin at 7:00PM and veterans are encouraged to attend! Covid protocols will be taken.
