On Sunday, September 11, 2022, the Village of Lindenhurst held their “Lindenhurst Remembers” 21st Year Candlelight Memorial Service. Many Village community organizations, members of the Lindenhurst Fire Department, and elected officials came together to pay solemn tribute to those who tragically lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and to remember those who heroically helped in the rescue recovery efforts that followed at Ground Zero.

When she happened upon a mention of the One World Everyone Eats café model in a magazine, she went looking for a cafe to volunteer. This model goes off of the idea of a donation-based cafe that services a diverse socioeconomic range and providing nutritious and delicious meals.
