Joe Fackler grew up living in Long Beach, New York he now lives and works in Massapequa. His life revolves around his family, selling Real Estate and Coaching Softball.

One of his greatest interests since 2008, is serving as a coach for the Massapequa International Little League team where he also sits on the board of directors. He became interested in 2008 when he played father-daughter tee-ball with his then 3-year-old daughter Jessica.
With hard work and lots of practices, the Massapequa Softball Little League team had the chance to participate in the World Series Championship game in Greenville North Carolina that took place on August 13, 2023.
Joe, like the other coaches, has a different style of helping the players in the time of need. When it comes to the games and practices, he wants the kids to win and feel proud of themselves. However, he always makes sure the kids are not stressed out about whether they win or lose.
“Remain calm. They’re kids. They’re going to make mistakes. Everybody wants to win but you have to stay calm,” he said. He believes in core values such as respect for both the players and the coaches. While coaches get a lot of recognition for their strategies within games and practices, the parents get to see a lot on the sidelines that many people don’t always see. “Joe brought a little more light to heavy practices... Coach Joe was the guy who had fun with them and gave them a different perspective,” said Josie Rios, the parent of Ava Rios, who played on Joe’s 2023 World Series Team. “He coached our kids without a kid on the team and he still coaches for the local little league. I think he just dedicates a lot of time to the love of the game. It just shows what kind of person

The game would be known as the first world series championship game to be won by any Little League softball team in New York State.
Coach Joe has been a true helper to these kids as they have been to him. While they get good training and a respectful coach, he gets to give back to the community which he loves so much. “He’s not just a coach to these girls, he’s their friend,” Rios said. Now Joe says its back to reality and back to work changing people’s lifestyles in the form of selling homes throughout Long Island. Third Annual Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade
Saturday, March 23rd
Lindenhurst has the “Luck of the Irish!” March is here and Lindenhurst’s Wellwood Avenue will once again be festively adorned with waving Irish and U.S. flags, and green lights and shamrocks decorating Village Square Park, in preparation for the Third Annual Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade!
The 2024 Parade will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, at 12:00 PM., and will be led by Grand Marshal Kevin J. McCaffrey,
Presiding Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature. A resident of Lindenhurst, Presiding Officer McCaffrey began his career in government thirty-four years ago as a Lindenhurst Village Trustee. He has served as a Suffolk County Legislator for the past 10 years, and was twice elected by his peers to serve as Presiding Officer of the Legislature. Still an active member of the Lindenhurst Community, he has chosen the Babylon Breast
Cancer Coalition & Tunnel to Towers Foundation as the co-recipients of the 2024 Parade’s charitable donation.

The Parade will begin at Lindenhurst Fireman’s Park & Village Park, travel west on Hartford Street, turn south onto Wellwood Avenue, and end at Gates Avenue. Parking near the Parade Start, and along Wellwood Avenue will be restricted on Parade Day, and the cross streets along the parade route will be barricaded starting at approximately 10:00AM.
The Lindenhurst St. Patrick’s Parade was conceived by Parade Committee Co-Presidents David Crowe, Proprietor of Lindenhurst’s Belfast Gastropub, and RJ Renna, Lindenhurst Village Trustee. Also on the Parade Committee are Presiding Officer McCaffrey, and Committee Secretary Katie Schrader.
