BELFAST GASTROPUB HOSTS FUNDRAISER FOR TUNNEL TO TOWERS

On Saturday, July 15, 2023, Belfast Gastropub hosted a day of fun to help raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which focuses on 9/11 hardships. The entire Belfast Gastropub team along with the Lindenhurst Knights of Columbus managed and fundraised over $15,000 for the cause. The event was supported by all of the local, regional, state, and federal politicians along with Father Emmanuel Okonkwo from OLPH who led the prayer, and Lindy’s Cantor, George Formes, who led the “Odes to Freedom.” The Belfast team serves as a foundation of all the events day in and day out that the restaurant chairs.

Local Summer Senior Advocate Schedule

Suffolk Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Deer Park) is pleased to inform Babylon and Huntington residents about the local Suffolk County Office for the Aging Summer 2023 Senior Advocate Schedule. Senior advocates are County representatives who come out into the community and assist seniors with information gathering, completion of eligibility or recertification applications and referrals to appropriate community agencies.

“This is an excellent chance for senior citizens to get the assistance and information they need by connecting with the County’s senior advocates right in their own communities,” said Legislator Donnelly. “I hope all those interested in the services that the Suffolk County Office for the Aging provides will

take advantage of this opportunity.”
