TOWN OF BABYLON’S 150TH ANNIVERSARY PARADE - Despite the rain, the town’s 150th Anniversary Parade took place on Sunday, April 30th. The parade began at Dixon Ave. in Copiague, and ended at Tanner Park. The parade included many floats dedicated to the history of each hamlet and village.

The Charity of the Month for May is LI Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame

The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to the idea that Long Island’s musical heritage is an important resource to be celebrated and preserved for future generations. The organization, which encompasses New York State’s Nassau, Su olk, Queens, and Kings (Brooklyn) Counties, was created as a place of community that inspires and explores Long Island music in all its forms. LIMEHOF, located in Stony Brook, is heavily engrossed in our local communities and o ers Long Islanders many ways to get involved.

As like any non-profit, their volunteers play a large role in their e orts. Each and every person who gives their time as a volunteer is dedicated to help support their mission. Additionally, donations of any size are accepted and appreciated. The Hall of Fame is now accepting applications for their 2023 Student Scholarship program, where they will award $500 scholarships to graduating students. The Lindenhurst Union Free School District requests proposals from licensed and qualified individuals or medical groups interested in providing Physician Services for the school district as defined by The New York State Education Department Commissioner’s Regulations (CR 136.1) that states schools must have a Director of School Health Services. The Director is defined as a qualified physician, or nurse practitioner, who is duly licensed pursuant to applicable law, and who is employed by the school district to perform any duties conferred on the school physician or school medical inspector under any provision of law, to perform and coordinate the provision of health services in the public schools, and to provide health appraisals of students attending the public schools in the city or district.
