Mary was born on December 24, 1933, on the upper west side of New York, NY. She was the last surviving daughter (1 of 10 siblings) of the late Lorenzo Carcaterra and the late Rafaela Carcaterra. She was a trained seamstress in her earlier work life and then worked as the “Package Pick-up Lady” for JC Penney’s, at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa, NY for over 25 years, later in life. She was also active in her childrens’ education by being a class mom, throughout their years at West Gates Ave. Elementary School, Lindenhurst, NY.
(Edward) of Oyster Bay, NY; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary was a big fan and participant of dancing, acting, socializing and having a good time, making sure everyone had more than enough to eat when she was hosting a meal, watching and betting on horse racing and going to casinos. She was very proud of her 3 children, their spouses and her grandkids! She also had a very positive and profound effect on many of the neighborhood kids in Lindenhurst, NY, by running an in-home pre-
She is, and will be, greatly missed by her family and her many, many friends but they all know that she’s with her loved ones now and is most certainly dancing, laughing and having a good old time, the likes that may not have been seen before!

Bayview Elementary School kicks off PARP with “Dr. Seuss.” PARP is a NYS PTA program and stands for Pick A Reading Partner. The PARP program is designed to promote the love of reading in children and encourages reading partners to read with their children for at least 15 minutes per day. Bayview’s PTA organized two weeks of PARP events for the students to enjoy. The students walked into “Bayviewville” as the school magically transformed into various Dr. Seuss books for PARP - Cat in The Hat, Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?, The Grinch, The Lorax, Horton Hears a Who, ABC’s, One Fish Two Fish, Ten Apples Up on Top, Oh, The Places You’ll Go, Happy Birthday to You, Fox in Socks, and Green Eggs and Ham Students were invited back to school for a pajama night. They were treated to an assembly by Turtle Dance Music had book scavenger hunts and played themed activities. Every student received a PARP packet with a reading log, bookmark, eraser, and activity sheets. The grade that logs the most reading wins a pizza party courtesy of the Bayview PTA.

According to data from Realm, which analyzed the top 10 most popular projects from roughly 2.8 million listings and permit filings in the United States, certain projects are
more popular than others. Nationally, the most common home renovations include interior painting, exterior painting, finishing a basement, installing or replacing windows, and bathroom remodeling.
