Dressed in T-shirts featuring the district’s new Amityville Tide logo, students enjoyed a day filled with fun activities and opportunities to connect with classmates as they prepared for their next educational milestone. Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of inflatable sports activities in the school gymnasium, including football, basketball and baseball-themed games. Others spent time outdoors enjoying the

playground, while some chose to relax with a good book and take part in quiet reading activities. The special event provided students with an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, build excitement for the future and reflect on their elementary school experiences before their upcoming moving-up ceremony.

Onward to 3rd Grade Day served as a memorable way to mark the end of the school year while helping students feel confident and prepared as they take the next step in their academic journey.

Best Solution To Remembering Passwords

(NAPSI)—Perhaps the best solution to difficulty remembering passwords is to not use them, opting for a method with much higher security, such as biometrics—which authenticate individual people through their faceprint, voiceprint, fingerprints or iris scan for superior convenience and security. Local Scout Earns Eagle Rank Through Meaningful Service Project

Family, friends, fellow Scouts and community leaders gathered on Saturday to celebrate a significant milestone

as Sean Kreuder was recognized during his Eagle Scout Court of Honor, earning the highest rank in Scouting.

As part of his Eagle Scout Service Project, Kreuder completed extensive improvements to the Babylon Breast

Cancer Coalition’s Vision of Hope Memorial Garden, located at Babylon Town Hall. The garden serves as a place of reflection and remembrance for individuals affected by cancer and for families who have lost loved ones to the disease.

For the project, Kreuder refurbished several benches throughout the garden by carefully disassembling the existing benches, replacing worn wooden boards and restoring the metal components to give them a renewed appearance. He also installed a new birdhouse to further enhance the tranquil setting.

Speaking during the ceremony, Kreuder reflected on the personal significance of the project, noting that several members of his family have been affected by cancer. He expressed gratitude to the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition for allowing

him the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful space.

Town of Babylon Councilman Terence McSweeney attended the ceremony and praised Kreuder’s dedication to serving the community.

“Sean’s project demonstrates the true spirit of Scouting— leadership, compassion and service to others,” said McSweeney. “The Vision of Hope Memorial Garden is a special place for so many families, and Sean’s work will ensure that visitors have a beautiful and peaceful space to reflect for years to come. It was an honor to attend his Eagle Scout Court of Honor and hear him speak about the impact this project had on him personally.”

Babylon Town Clerk Gerry Compitello also commended Kreuder for his efforts and commitment to community service.

“Anyone who knows

Sean isn’t surprised that he chose a project focused on helping others,” said Compitello. “He’s always been a thoughtful, hardworking young man with a big heart. Watching him earn his Eagle Scout rank has been a joy, and I couldn’t be prouder of him. The improvements he made to the Vision of Hope Memorial Garden will be appreciated by countless families for years to come, and that’s something he should carry with pride.”

The Eagle Scout rank represents years of dedication, leadership and service, and is earned by only a small percentage of Scouts nationwide. Kreuder’s project will continue to benefit residents and visitors to the Vision of Hope Memorial Garden for years to come, serving as a lasting reminder of the power of community service and volunteerism.
