Senator Rhoads Joins Thank A Cop Lemonade Fundraiser

Senator Steve Rhoads, a steadfast advocate for law enforcement, teamed up with Project Thank A Cop for a lemonade stand fundraiser at Uniquely Yours in Seaford, joining local officials and community members to support the organization’s mission of assisting local law enforcement officers and their families.

The annual fundraiser brought together residents from across the community to raise funds and show their appreciation for the men and women who serve and protect Nassau County. Senator Rhoads was joined by Nassau County Legislator Kayla L. Knight, Hempstead Town Clerk Kate Murray, Hempstead Town Councilman Chris Schneider, and Shannon Fredericks, representing Assemblyman David McDonough.

“I was proud to team up with Project Thank A Cop to support the brave men and women of law

enforcement and the families who stand beside them,” said Senator Rhoads. “I want to thank Maegan and Andy Fox for organizing another outstanding event and for their continued commitment to giving back to those who dedicate their lives to keeping our communities safe. The incredible community support for this event speaks volumes about the respect and gratitude our residents have for our local law enforcement officers.”

Senator Rhoads also thanked everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered to help make the fundraiser a success.

“Events like this strengthen the bond between our community and our law enforcement officers,” Senator Rhoads added. “By coming together in support of Project Thank A Cop we’re sending a clear message that we appreciate the sacrifices our officers and their families make every day.”

Foundation Director Tim Ryan will also highlight the organization’s recent accomplishments, growing partnerships and ongoing initiatives dedicated to heart health awareness and youth safety.

Back By Popular Demand: Senator Rhoads Announces Additional Stops For 4th Annual Mobile Office Hour Tour

Senator Steve Rhoads is bringing his popular Mobile Office Hour Tour back to communities across Senate District 5, providing residents with additional opportunities to meet directly with their State Senator and receive assistance with staterelated issues.

Now in its fourth year, the Mobile Office Hour Tour has become a valued community resource, with Senator Rhoads holding more than three dozen office hours at local

libraries and community locations throughout the district. Due to continued interest and strong participation from residents, additional dates have been added for the summer and fall.

“After three successful years of Mobile Office Hours, I’m excited to bring this program back with even more opportunities for residents to connect directly with me,” said Senator Rhoads. “The response from our community has been
