uring the month of November, East Islip Middle School’s Tri-M Music Honor Society sponsored the “Socks for the Homeless” sock drive, partnering with Deacon Gail Kertland and parishioners of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Islip to achieve the goal of donating 500 pairs of socks to Long Island homeless shelters in time for the holiday season. The idea for the drive was sparked by a post on St. Mark’s Facebook page.
