astplain Elementary School in the Plainedge School District hosted a dedication ceremony for a sitting area and garden in honor of former graduate and NYPD Det. Brian Moore, as well as for those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. The area featured three blue benches surrounding a flower bed and a Callery Pear Tree, which was grown from the only surviving tree near the original Ground Zero site in NYC.
