Chris will be filling the position left by Jed Herman following his promotion to the position of Farmingdale High School Principal, and Carla will join in a new role created this school year. Farmingdale’s interview committee described Chris Patronaggio as being relentless in his support for students and was found to be genuine and caring. His skills with the master schedule and servant-based leadership style will pair nicely with the current administration.“Iamextremely grateful for the opportunity to join the Daler family,” said Chis Patronaggio. “The support, enthusiasm, and pride make this an incredible place. I can’t wait to immerse myself in all the great things Farmingdale has to offer!” Mr. Patronaggio comes to Farmingdale, having previously served as a Math Teacher at Bellport High School and Administrative Dean at Walt Whitman High School Athletic, followed by a successful sixyear tenure as an Assistant Principal at Harborfields High School. Mr. Patronaggio and his wife Erin have been married for ten years. They have two incredible sons, Brayden, 8, and Declan, 4. Carla Stillwell was described as genuine, caring, positive, and honest. Her support for all students was noted at each phase of the interview process. Carla speaks several languages and will significantly add to our existing team. “I admire the wonderful, committed staff that I feel lucky to call colleagues,” said Carla Stillwell. “ The commitment to provide a comprehensive educational experience to our students with the full support of the community and all stakeholders is evident in every encounter I have had. LICC’s Building Healthy Lives Through Education Program delivers workshops, both virtually and on-site in schools, that encompass a variety of topics that address emerging mental health problems and emotional issues threatening young people today and also presents solutions to challenging behaviors for classroom teachers in academicFoundedsettings.in1971, the LICC provides 24/7 free and confidential counseling to Long Islanders of all ages who are in need of mental health support. Their meal events are socially engaging events, usually running for about 2.5 hours multiple times a month. They are meant to bring the community together, while serving anyone who attends a fresh healthy meal. This nonprofit is also licensed to offer the FEAST Program. The FEAST Program is a comprehensive health program, which offers in-person classes. FEAST stands for Food Education, Access, Support and Together. “We at Harmony Cafe believe that a healthy life consists of whole foods, whole people and whole communities,” said Rosemarie. “However, many people don’t have access to healthy fresh food, don’t have a strong support system and feel isolated from the community. Unhealthy diets is among some of the key contributors to the dramatic rise in obesity and dietary diseases affecting people in our country today. Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board recently announced a Free Family-Fun Waterfront Festival and Concert will take place on Saturday, September 10th at TOBAY Beach Marina. In addition to the free concert featuring Jimmy Kenny and the Pirate Beach Band, the ultimate beach party tribute band to Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, and the Zac Brown Band, the day of free family fun will feature marine and outdoor exhibits, a children’s snapper derby, police boat demonstrations and much more! The festival will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
