indergartners in Maritza Benavides’ class at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School spent the first few weeks in October engaged in a variety of apple activities. The cross-curricular lessons planned throughout the weeks also incorporated English, math, art and music. Starting with reading books about apples and learning about the different varieties, the students then tasted different types for themselves.
