Exploring the Life Cycle
s part of their gardening unit, second grade students in the Copiague School District summer enrichment program explored different elements of the plant life cycle. Teachers Terri Alzmann, Katie Dutton and Karilyn Fincke led the students in planting beanstalk seeds in a styrofoam cup with soil. With the help of water and sunlight, the students observed and measured their beanstalks.
