CELEBRATING CINCO DE MAYO - Cinco de Mayo, also known as Battle of Puebla Day, is celebrated on May 5th in recognition of the Mexican army’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. In recognition of Cinco de Mayo Dominican Village residents celebrated the Mexican culture with a mariachi band, various traditional foods, and of course margaritas.
