West Babylon Science Olympiad’s three teams recently competed at the annual Regional Science Olympiad Tournament. The tournament is the largest in New York and the nation. To qualify for the state competition, schools must finish in the top eight out of 60 teams. The top six schools receive trophies. West Babylon earned medals in 17 of the 23 categories, amounting to 21 medals between the three teams. Team 1 finished in sixth place, earning a place at the state competition.
